Mehdi Habibi (born January 19, 1979 - died November 20, 2016) was an Iranian BASE jumper known for his record-breaking achievements in aerial jumps. He was considered the only professional athlete in Iran specializing in wingsuit flying. During the 2016 World Championships in the USA, he set an Asian record with a jump height of 3,643 meters and a speed of 310 km/h, ranking 41st globally. Tragically, he passed away in a training accident when he collided with a mountain wall in Switzerland.
