Mehmet Gürsoy was a Turkish ceramic artist born in Denizli in 1950. He graduated from the Kayseri Education Institution and was a student of Prof. Dr. Muhsin Demironat. Gürsoy achieved significant recognition in 1986, winning two first places and one second place in three categories at an international ceramics competition under the auspices of the Presidency. With 60 exhibitions worldwide, he was recognized by UNESCO as a bearer of heritage in 2009 and declared a 'Living Human Treasure.'
