Mehmet Turgut was a Kurdish victim of the National Socialist Underground (NSU) murder series in Germany. He was born on May 2, 1979, in Kayalık and tragically lost his life on February 25, 2004, in Rostock. Turgut was shot while working at a döner kebab shop in Rostock-Toitenwinkel. His murder highlighted the violent extremism experienced by immigrant communities in Germany.
