Aysha Meis de Groot, known as Meis, is a Dutch singer born on September 7, 1993, in Amsterdam. She is the daughter of musician Marcel de Groot and manager Joyce Ziermans. Meis studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory, graduating in 2017. That year, she had a brief internship with her grandfather during the production of an album. In 2019, she performed in the opening act for Bazart, leading to her collaboration with Eefje de Visser as a backing vocalist. In 2021, Meis released her first EP titled 'Een', featuring original Dutch songs.
