Memet Fuat (1926-2002) was a Turkish writer, publisher, critic, and volleyball coach, known for his literary criticism and contributions to sports. Born in Aran Koy, Istanbul, he founded the literary magazine Yeni Dergi in 1960 and coached the youth volleyball team Altyazı. Fuat was also a prominent admirer of the poet Nazım Hikmet, writing works about him, and made a significant impact in literature with his poem titled 'Memet Fuat'. He passed away in Istanbul in 2002.
