Merete Kornerup Kruuse (April 26, 1932 - October 13, 2000) was a Danish author known for her children's books and science fiction. Born in Charlottenlund, she was a trained graphic designer who had her own design studio before becoming a full-time writer. Her career began with the publication of a science fiction short story collection in 1970, followed by her award-winning children's book 'Rode-Rikke' in 1972. She wrote several other books for children and young adults during the 1970s and 1980s and was active in literary circles related to science fiction and psychology.
