Metin Bükey was a Turkish composer and musician, known for his work in film music. His notable early work includes the score for the 1954 film 'Fındıkçı Gelin', but he is best remembered for his song 'Samanyolu', sung by Berkant. Bükey contributed music to around 150 Yeşilçam films and won an award for 'Best Music' for the film 'Acı' at the 1971 Adana Altın Koza Film Festival. He was active in the Turkish music scene until his passing in 1997.
