Fakıoğlu published his first poems in literary magazines during the 1980s and released several collections, including 'Fremdgenuss' in 1987 and the bilingual 'Göz Göre Göre' in 1999. He worked as a cultural journalist before joining Hessischer Rundfunk, where he has been active in radio and training since 1999. Fakıoğlu is known for advocating for intercultural competence in journalism.
