Metropolitan Anthony, born John Scharba on January 30, 1947, is a prominent American Orthodox hierarch. He has served as the Metropolitan of Ierapolis and Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA since 2012. Additionally, since 2015, he holds the position of primate of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in the Diaspora. Anthony has made significant contributions to the Orthodox Christian community in America and has taken on leadership roles within the church.
