Firmilian, born Nicolae Marin (February 18, 1901 – October 29, 1972), was a Romanian Orthodox bishop who served as the Metropolitan of Oltenia. He entered monastic life at the age of fourteen and was ordained in 1920. Firmilian promoted education among the clergy, establishing a psalmist school and a theological seminary. He worked to combat illiteracy in monastic communities and defended the Tismana monastery from closure. He was consecrated bishop in 1947 and served until his death, being interred in the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius in Craiova.
