Mette Jacobsen is a Danish swimmer, born on March 24, 1973, in Nakskov. She began swimming at the age of six at Nakskov Swimming Club and later became a sports ambassador in Farum, switching clubs in 2000 to Farum Swimming Club. In 2003, she joined West Swim Esbjerg. Jacobsen is known for her impressive accomplishments, winning 36 European and World Championship medals and being a finalist at five Olympic Games, a unique achievement among swimmers. She announced her retirement from national competition on November 15, 2006.
