Mia Dreese is a Dutch flutist born on November 11, 1946, in Amsterdam. She performs solo programs playing eight types of flutes and collaborates with pianist Marjes Benoist. An accomplished educator, she teaches flute, methodology, and performance practice in Amstelveen, prepares students for exams, and serves on various juries. Dreese is the editor-in-chief of the magazine FLUIT and was president of the Dutch Flute Society from 1992 to 2007. She studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, graduating with honors, and received several prestigious awards for her contributions to music.
