Micah True, born Michael Randall Hickman, was an influential American ultrarunner known as Caballo Blanco. Born on November 10, 1953, he gained prominence through Christopher McDougall's book 'Born to Run.' True spent significant time running trails in Mexico during the 1980s and 90s and organized a race for the Tarahumara people to aid in preserving their culture. He tragically died during a run in the Gila Wilderness on March 27, 2012. His story has inspired many to pursue ultrarunning.
