Michael Comiskey is an Irish Fine Gael politician and former senator, born on 1 October 1953. He was elected to the 24th Seanad in April 2011 representing the Agricultural Panel. Prior to that, he ran unsuccessfully in the 2007 general election for Sligo–North Leitrim and also contested the Seanad election. Comiskey is active in the Irish Farmers' Association, having previously chaired the County Leitrim branch and served as the Fine Gael Seanad spokesperson on Agriculture, Marine and Food during his term.
