Michael Forsmark Poulsen is a Danish photographer born on April 27, 1966, in Bistrup. He gained notoriety in 1998 when he was present during the vandalism of The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen and was the first to document the act. His photographs and videos from the scene were sold worldwide, earning him over 100,000 DKK. After the incident, he was arrested and charged by police, but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. In 2018 and later confirmed in 2021, he admitted to being behind the vandalism.
