Michael Herbert Day was a British anatomist and anthropologist known for his work on the evolution of bipedalism in human ancestry. He held the chair of Anatomy at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in London from 1972 until 1989. Day's research contributed significantly to understanding human evolution, especially the transition to upright walking. He was born on March 8, 1927, and passed away on June 1, 2018.
