Michael Krasnow was an American author born on April 27, 1969. He is known for his autobiography, My Life as a Male Anorexic, in which he shared his struggles with severe anorexia nervosa. At the age of 16, Krasnow weighed 115 pounds, but by adulthood, his weight had dropped to around 75 pounds. He stood 5'9" tall, giving him a dangerously low body mass index of 11.1. Unfortunately, he died at age 28, weighing just 64 pounds, and he aimed to inspire other male anorexics through his writing.
