Michael Prywes is an American director, producer, author, attorney, and screenwriter. He began his film career while studying at Northwestern University and made his directorial debut with 'Returning Mickey Stern' in 2003. Noteworthy is his legal battle over 'The King of Summer'. In 2021, he became Chair of the Film program at Five Towns College, teaching law, producing, and writing, and has taught at other institutions. He is active in the film community as a consultant and lecturer. He married Devra Scheikowitz in 2001.
