Michael Tsokos is a German forensic scientist and professor at Charité in Berlin. He led the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Charité from 2007 to 2023 and concurrently heads the State Institute for Judicial and Social Medicine in Berlin-Moabit since 2007. As an ambassador for the German Children's Association, he raises public awareness about child abuse and opposes the trivialization of everyday mistreatment. Tsokos is also a prolific author of non-fiction, thrillers, and true crime books, with bestsellers including 'Abgeschnitten' and 'Die Zeichen des Todes'.
