Michael Zinni was an accomplished golf coach and player, serving as the head coach of the Minnesota State University, Mankato golf team from 2003 until 2009. In addition to coaching, he competed on the Champions Tour, which is tailored for senior golfers. Zinni was also the head golf professional at the Mankato Golf Club. He passed away on July 29, 2014, at the Mayo Clinic due to a lung infection.
