Michal Hromek, born on March 9, 1958, in Prague, is a Czech composer and guitarist. He graduated from the Pardubice Conservatory in 1983 and studied in Prussia Cove, England, and Oatridge, Scotland. His work is influenced by folk music, notably English and Scottish styles. His album 'Keltská kytara' (1990) is the best-selling album by a contemporary Czech artist abroad, and he received several accolades for it, including an award from the Czech Music Fund and a gold record in Canada.
