Michel Kasser is a French-Swiss geodesist and geomatician born on July 11, 1953, in Lausanne. He is an expert in geodesy and geographic sciences, particularly in technological developments in these fields. Kasser is a professor of Geodesy at HEIG-VD in Switzerland. He served as the director of ESGT from 1991 to 1999 and ENSG from 2003 to 2011, as well as the executive director of the GRGS from 2004 to 2008. He was the president of the French Association of Topography (AFT) from 2002 to 2012 and is now its honorary president.
