Additionally, he made guest appearances in series such as 'Terug naar Oosterdonk' and 'Wittekerke'. In 2014, he was diagnosed with aphasia and spent his final years living in Amsterdam with his wife, Irma. Van Dousselaere passed away on July 26, 2021, due to complications from his illness.
