Michio Saitō is a former senior editor and commentary chief at TBS Television, as well as a former principal at Meisei Gakuen. He has held various key positions in journalism, including a reporter within the social department and bureau chief in Washington D.C. He retired from TBS in 2007 and currently serves in the Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association's committee for reporting issues. Saitō is also involved in the establishment of free schools and has reported on deaf education.
