Mick Channon, born on November 28, 1948, is a former English professional footballer who played as a forward, most notably for Southampton. He represented the England national team during the 1970s and scored over 250 goals in his career. Channon is also recognized for his unique goal celebration known as the 'merry-go-round.' After his playing career, he became a successful horse racing trainer.
