Michael Stewart 'Mickey' Homer, Jr. Whatley was a South Carolina politician and law enforcement officer. He served as the Commissioner of the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission and was a two-term member of the South Carolina House of Representatives until 2003. Whatley was also the Police Chief of North Charleston from 1992 to 1994 and held a position as a Lieutenant with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. In addition, he served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.
