Mighty Botai, born Eddy Felter, was a Surinamese percussionist and singer who gained fame for his contributions to the local music scene, particularly in the genres of kaseko. After starting his career in Suriname, he moved to the Netherlands in 1972 where he established Radio Sranan. He had notable hits including 'Blanke meid' and released five albums from 1975 onwards. Felter was honored with a doctorate for his work in Srananese folk music before passing away at the age of 71.
