Miguel Ángel Poblete Poblete (1966-2008) was a Chilean mystic, known as 'The Seer of Villa Alemana' or 'The Seer of Peñablanca.' In the 1980s, he reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Cerro El Membrillar, attracting thousands of pilgrims. These events were controversial, with the Catholic Church accusing them of being politically motivated during the dictatorship, while the Diocese of Valparaíso has not recognized them as true. Later in life, he changed his name to Karole Romanov and distanced himself from past connections, leading a tumultuous existence until his death.
