Miguel Angulo is a Basque mountaineer, writer, cartographer, photographer, designer, and teacher born on December 28, 1953, in Baiona, Lapurdi. He is well-known among mountaineers for his numerous mountain guidebooks and maps published in the Basque Country. Angulo studied Art and Archaeology at the Paris-Sorbonne University and currently teaches plastic arts at a school in Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx. He began taking mountain notes at the age of sixteen and has been publishing in the Bulletin de la Société des Sciences Lettres et Arts de Bayonne since 1953.
