Pérez Ferrero authored several works, including 'El bufón de la reina y otros poemas' (1923), 'Luces de Bengala' (1925), and biographies of notable figures such as Antonio Machado, Pío Baroja, and Ramón Pérez de Ayala. In 1947, he began writing film criticism for the newspaper ABC under the pseudonym 'Donald'.
