Miha Klinar was a Slovenian writer and poet born on July 13, 1922, in Jesenice. He graduated from high school in 1943 and joined the partisans after graduation. He worked as an editor for the military publications at Radio Trst until 1947 and later as a journalist until 1952. Klinar was a freelancer and contributed poetry and essays reflecting on the liberation struggle in Gorenjska, with published works during and after the war, including articles on historical topics of the National Liberation Movement (NOB). His father was dramatist France Klinar.
