Mihail Florescu, born Iacobi Iancu on January 28, 1912, in Roman, Neamț County, Romania, was a prominent Romanian politician associated with the Romanian Workers' Party and the Romanian Communist Party. He served as Minister for Chemical Industry between 1952 and 1957, again in 1965, and from 1970 to 1980. Additionally, he held the position of Minister for Oil and Chemical Industry from 1957 to 1965. Florescu passed away on February 25, 2000, in Bucharest.
