Miira Karhula, born Miira Lähteenmäki on February 25, 1972, in Helsinki, is a Finnish screenwriter and director. She is known for her work on the crime drama series 'Aallonmurtaja', for which she received a Kultainen Venla nomination, and the dramedy series 'Kynsin hampain'. Karhula also writes and directs a weekly political satire for Yle Radio Suomi titled 'Tohtori Raimo - Valtakunnan terapeutti'. She studied screenwriting at the University of Texas in Austin and holds a Master's degree in social sciences. Her sister is actress Nora Rinne.
