Michael Joseph Dalton was a Canadian Roman Catholic military chaplain, born on May 5, 1902, and passed away on April 6, 2009. He was the most decorated RC Padre in Canada's military history. Ordained in 1932, he served during World War II with the Essex Scottish Regiment, demonstrating extreme dedication by performing front-line duties. He was awarded MBE in 1943 and was known for his compassion and commitment, even at great personal risk. Dalton was recognized as Citizen of the Year in Windsor and was believed to be Canada's oldest priest and surviving World War II serviceman at his death.
