Mike Eric de Meza is an Aruban politician born in Curaçao on May 13, 1963. Since 2017, he has served as a member of the Aruba Parliament for the Aruban People's Party (AVP). He studied in the Netherlands and the United States and was previously a member of the Parliament from 2005 to 2009 and served as Minister of Finance, where he halved the budget deficit but doubled the national debt. He also laid the groundwork for the Balanced Budget Rule to prevent future deficits.
