Mike Giddings (1933–2023) was an influential American football player, coach, scout, and pioneer in NFL analytics. A multi-sport athlete at South Pasadena High School and a member of the California Golden Bears, he later served in the Marine Corps before starting a coaching career in high school football. Giddings worked with various teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos. In 1977, he founded Proscout, Inc., revolutionizing talent evaluation and analytics in the NFL. Giddings passed away at 89 from complications of a stroke.
