Mike Goodes is an American professional golfer born on December 3, 1956, in Reidsville, North Carolina. He had a successful amateur career in the Carolinas and attended the University of North Carolina, although he did not join the golf team. Turning professional in 2007, Goodes qualified to play on the Champions Tour and secured his tour card for 2009 after finishing 29th on the money list. He achieved notable success by winning his first professional event, the Allianz Championship, in 2009.
