Born on December 31, 1959, he earned notable recognition by finishing second at the 1990 UCI Downhill World Championships and winning the cross-country world championship in 1988 before it was officially sanctioned by UCI. Post-retirement, Kloser shifted his focus to duathlon and winter triathlon competitions. His contributions and achievements in the sport were honored with his induction into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 2002.
