Markkula was one of the early engineers at Intel and became a millionaire at 30 when Intel went public. In the early days of Apple Inc., he provided essential venture capital and guidance, developing the first business plan and hiring the first CEO. He played a significant role in the company’s incorporation and received a 30% stake in return for his investment, serving as CEO from 1981 to 1983.
