Mikhail Dinev Petrov is a Bulgarian economist and university lecturer. He served as a professor and was the rector of the University of National and World Economy from 1989 to 1990. Petrov was also the first chairman of the Audit Office of Bulgaria, elected by the Grand National Assembly in 1990. Additionally, he held the position of chairman of the Management Board of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants from 2004 to 2011.
