He serves as the scientific leader at the All-Russian Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography and is a professor at the Faculty of Biology at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is a PhD holder in biological sciences and completed his education at Moscow State University. His work focuses on marine biology and fishery sciences, playing a significant role in the development of these fields in Russia.
