Mykhailo Markovych Mestechkin (born June 2, 1932, in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian physical chemist and the founder of the Ukrainian school of quantum chemistry. He received a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences degree in 1971 and became a professor in 1977. His contributions to the field include advancing the understanding of quantum chemistry through his research and educational efforts in Ukraine.
