Mikio Yahara is a legendary and controversial Japanese karate expert in the Shōtōkan style and the chief instructor of the Karatenomiči - KWF. He is renowned for demonstrating the Unsū kata and notably defeated 34 Yakuza members in a single altercation. After graduating from Kokusikan University, he became a Kenšūsei at JKA and won numerous competitions from 1974 to 1984. In 2000, he founded the KWF with Yōji Yamamoto to promote his karate philosophy, emphasizing technical precision and the ability to incapacitate an attacker effectively.
