Miklós Halmy is a Hungarian abstract painter born on February 8, 1931, in Erdőbénye. He graduated from the Technical University of Budapest in 1956 and later obtained a diploma in decorative arts. Halmy was active in the art scene as a surrealist in the 1960s and studied at École des Beaux Arts in Paris from 1965 to 1967. He has had numerous exhibitions since 1970 and received various awards, with the most significant being the Kossuth Prize in 2020.
