Mildred Akinyi 'Milka' Alango is a Kenyan taekwondo athlete born on March 10, 1989, in Mombasa. She competed in the women's 49 kg category at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she initially lost to China's Wu Jingyu. Alango later entered the repechage round and won against Sweden's Hanna Zajc but ultimately ended up losing the bronze medal match to Venezuela's Dalia Contreras in a sudden death situation. Alango is recognized for her achievements in taekwondo and representing Kenya on an international level.
