Milko Lazar is a Slovenian composer, arranger, harpsichordist, conductor, and saxophonist, born on March 14, 1965, in Maribor. He studied piano and saxophone at the High School of Music in Graz, and he has performed as a soloist with the RTV Slovenia Big Band from 1986 to 1994. He is also a conductor and composer for various ensembles and is a co-founder of the groups Quatebriga and Štefbet Rifi, actively interpreting baroque music on the harpsichord. In 2005, he received the Prešeren Foundation Award for his compositions.
