Milorad Stojanović was a Macedonian-Serbian geologist born on January 24, 1931, in Pirot and passed away in 2000 in Skopje. He completed his basic education and high school in Aleksinac. He studied geology at the Faculty of Sciences in Belgrade from 1949 to 1954. He worked in various geological institutes and later became a full professor at the Institute of Geography. Stojanović published around 80 scientific papers and textbooks in geology. He also had study visits in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, and the USSR.
