Milton B. 'Big Money' Carthens was an American football player born on December 22, 1960. He played college football for the University of Michigan Wolverines under coach Bo Schembechler. Carthens was drafted by the Michigan Panthers in 1984 and later signed with the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions. He contributed as a tight end and special teams blocker. After his football career, he became a social worker in Detroit. Carthens passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 60.
