He studied international trade in Vienna and worked in several banks, including the First Croatian Savings Bank and the National Bank of Yugoslavia. He served in the Yugoslav army during World War II, joining the resistance movement after the war. Rybář was involved in financial negotiations post-war and became a prominent figure in the economic sector of Yugoslavia, eventually working until his retirement in 1959.
