He specialized in computer technology and was an honorary member of the Romanian Academy since 2006. He also served as a founding member and vice president of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences and was vice president of the General Association of Engineers in Romania. Additionally, he was a member of the IEEE and ACM.
